Founded by HSC Kelly Karimi Rwigi in 2017, EGI is based in THARAKA NITHI COUNTY and is subject to Kenyan laws.
It operates in the interests of women and children's rights with its main programs including Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH), CHILD PROTECTION, ANTI-FGM, Gender-Based Violence, and other related issues. The organization is currently fostering over 17 children, has helped over 1200 girls with reusable sanitary towels, and dealt with over 600 cases of school dropouts and defilement.
Within its 5 years of operation, Enlightened Generation International has stood out in matters of awareness, and advocacy and has held Mentorship programs as well as safety training workshops in conjunction with its partners and the government - both local and national.
